    Version History

  • 3.2 released December 15 2001
    • Fixed email notification in public_entry.cgi.
    • Released version allowing the display of single records, with return search links.
  • 3.1 released November 1 2001
    • Added ability to search with any number of custom parameters.
    • Added storage for Forum ID and Password.
    • Added ability to restrict columns from manager display.
    • Added Online Manual.
  • 3.0 released May 1 2001
    • With the 3.0 release the Database Doctor changed from being a free script to having a fee attached. With this version sweeping changes were incorporated. While still retaining the core idea, much was done to simplify the setup.
    • Setup automated. After upload and permissions, the Database Doctor sets itself up.
    • Database Setup now incorporates column types and settings to help manipulate data and data entry.
    • Templates and a template manager created to allow for advanced HTML and Color settings.
    • Improved searchability and result formatting.
    • Database Doctor Forum Added
  • 2.0 released November 1 1999
    • Still a free script, front end display was added as different uses for the program evolved. Frankly we were amazed at the creativity people used in their application of the program, and were pleased that the Database Doctor could handle it.

    • The Database Doctor was originally written in 1997 to manage text file databases for use with Selena Sols webstore. Originally a free script, this rudimentary version still contains many of the original principles the program was based upon.
